Engineering at OSRAM SYLVANIA is directly responsible for technological breakthroughs that have revolutionized the world of lighting and precision materials. The scope and diversity of Engineering at OSRAM SYLVANIA are as far-reaching as our achievements. As an intern or co-op, you will be given assignments in the areas that may include Product Development, Process Engineering, Equipment Development, Materials Development, or Testing and Analysis.

Assignments may involve development of:

* New lighting technology or product
* High-speed automated assembly equipment
* New materials for use in lighting and other products

Depending upon business needs, engineering internships/co-ops are available in the following locations:

New Hampshire:  Hillsboro, Exeter, Manchester
Illinois:  Lake Zurich
Pennsylvania: St. Marys, Bethlehem, Towanda, Warren, Wellsboro, York
Kentucky: Versailles, Winchester
Massachusetts:  Beverly, Danvers
Rhode Island:  Central Falls

Time Commitment

Internships & co-ops are available full time and occasionally part time at all locations.  Internships/co-ops can last 3 months-6 months.  Internships can be continued up to one full year, depending upon business needs.

Candidate Qualifications

* Significant academic and personal achievement
* Superior oral and written communications skills
* A record of success in prior work experience
* Exceptional leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills
* An ability to think and function conceptually and creatively
* A capacity to define goals and achieve them

Current college student in Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or  Ceramics Engineering. Must have completed first year coursework.
