Our Mission:
The mission of the OSRAM SYLVANIA Diversity Council is to shape the diversity landscape at OSRAM SYLVANIA and to keep management attuned to changes that need to be made for a successful diversity initiative.
The council pays particular attention to the impact of diversity in issues relating to: education and career development, internal and external support systems, and recruitment and retention.
The Diversity Council:
- Develops mechanisms for measuring the success of diversity initiatives at OSRAM SYLVANIA, and monitors progress
- Provides management with suggestions for improving diversity and inclusion at OSRAM SYLVANIA
- Communicates the benefits of diversity within the company
- Provides employees with an avenue to voice concerns or issues regarding diversity in our facilities, without fear of repercussion
The Diversity Council is comprised of employees from various business units, with two advisors and one executive champion. Council members serve for a period of at least two years and reflect the unique diversity of both OSRAM SYLVANIA and our many customers. The Diversity Council normally meets quarterly at our headquarters in Danvers.
The Council is made up of Action Committees, each responsible for advancing inclusion and addressing key issues as they are identified.
