We're proud to be a winner. Again. For five years in a row, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) have recognized OSRAM SYLVANIA as for its outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by making and promoting energy-efficient products. |

OSRAM SYLVANIA, an ENERGY STAR partner since 1999, received the Energy Star Sustained Excellence award for its ongoing leadership in manufacturing and promoting energy efficient products that earn the ENERGY STAR rating, the government-backed symbol of energy efficiency. In addition to their commitment to producing energy-efficient products, OSRAM SYLVANIA has voluntarily reduced energy use by installing highly efficient systems its facilities, and has worked extensively to educate the public and its employees about the benefits of energy efficient products and practices.
Producing and promoting energy efficient products is not only our priority, it is our responsibility as a leader in the industry, and we look forward to continuing our work to encourage responsible energy usage.
Last year alone, Americans, with the help of ENERGY STAR products, saved enough energy to power 20 million homes and reduce air pollution equivalent to that of 18 million cars. Award winners are selected from thousands of organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program each year.
Furthermore, OSRAM SYLVANIA helped consumers across the country save $10 million on their utility bills with utility-sponsored rebate programs for compact fluorescent lamps alone!
"Partners like OSRAM SYLVANIA exemplify the success of ENERGY STAR," said Kathleen Hogan, director of EPA's Climate Protection Partnerships Division. "The ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence winners are true models for improving energy efficiency across the country. They have shown year after year that energy efficiency is good for business and helps consumers save important resources, all while protecting the environment.”
