SYLVANIA has enhanced its family of ICETRON systems to include ECOLOGIC "white light" types that pass the Federal TCLP Test* and Blacklight lamps. ICETRON 2P/ECO lamps are available in 70W, 100W and 150W types with a choice of 3500K, 4100K and 5000K colors (all 80 CRI). Using a 150W ICETRON ECO system vs. a 150W metal halide system results in less than 1/6th as much mercury disposal over the 100,000-hour life of the system. ICETRON 100W and 150W Blacklight lamps provide a new, energy efficient, long life solution for special effects and industrial lighting applications. ICETRON Blacklight systems provide an alternative for short life (typically 800 hour) HID systems by incorporating a phosphor that peaks at 368 nm. With 75% UV maintenance at 5,000 hours, this system can significantly reduce the frequency and related cost of lamp replacement.

SYLVANIA has enhanced its family of QUICKTRONIC PROStart ballasts for T5HO lamps with new 2 and 4-lamp types with universal voltage, high ambient temperature and multi-lamp features. The QTP4x54T5HO/UNV-PSN ballast will operate 1, 2, 3, or 4 lamps. The ballast has a maximum case temperature rating of 90°C, a one-inch height and is available in the standard 16.73-inch length. The internal ballast wiring allows for switching between 4 to 2, 3 to 2, 3 to 1 or 2 to 1 lamps and photocell control. PROStart technology provides optimum starting conditions to yield up to 100,000 lamp-switching cycles. These ballasts also feature QUICKSENSE® ballast technology, a patented circuitry designed to shut down the system reliably and safely when lamps reach end of life.
