Introducing the latest addition to OSRAM SYLVANIA’s ceramic metal halide family: the 320W POWERBALL®. This light source has an efficacy of 117LPW, establishing it as the most energy efficient metal halide light source in the Metalarc® family. At 37,500 initial lumens and an 85 CRI, this is an excellent lamp alternative to standard 400W metal halide or fluorescent lamps in high-bay applications.  For instance, replace a standard lamp and ballast 400W ANSI M59 system with a 320W POWERBALL® ANSI M154 system and save 20% in energy costs.

Compared to conventional quartz metal halide products, SYLVANIA ceramic arc tube metal halide lamps exhibit less colour variation and higher efficacy. Their high mean lumens, excellent colour characteristics and compact size allow them to be used in a wide variety of applications. METALARC POWERBALL CERAMIC lamps operate on existing ANSI specified magnetic ballasts and on compatible electronic ballasts. The lamps can be used in appropriate existing fixtures designed for metal halide lamps of similar wattages and configurations.

This new lamp type is available in a clear coated version with PRO-TECH® design for open fixture applications.  Open fixture rated products improve fixture efficiency and simplify maintenance.
