OSRAM HPR™ TUNGSTEN HALOGEN LAMP’S
ENERGY EFFICIENCY LEADS TO COST SAVINGS
Lamp’s internal reflector increases efficiency in UniparÔ, PAR and ellipsoidal reflectors for theatrical, concert, and architectural applications
LAS VEGAS – October 22, 2004 - OSRAM is proud to present the patented HPRÔ 575/115 High Performance Reflector Tungsten Halogen Lamp. Representing its family of high performance halogen lamps for theatrical, concert and architectural applications, the OSRAM HPR 575/115 lamp has been engineered for maximum light collection efficiency in UniparÔ, parabolic and ellipsoidal fixtures that use G9.5 base lamps. The lamp’s high energy efficiency can lead to substantial cost savings.
“The HPR 575/115 lamp successfully enhances the lighting opportunities for stage, theatrical, and architectural applications,” said Jay Chahine, OSRAM Display/Optic product marketing manager in the entertainment business unit. “By optimizing the forward light output without increasing the wattage or base temperature, the HPR 575/115 lamp is the ideal high performance lighting solution.”
The unique location of the reflector reduces the number of lumens lost through the rear of the lamp, while increasing the forward number lumens projected in PAR and ellipsoidal fixtures. The result is a sharper, more intense beam pattern and higher light output.
A secondary benefit of the reflector’s location is reduced lamp seal temperature due to the effective deflection of infrared heat. In all, the product’s increased light output provides considerable savings in energy consumption. The HPR lamp can be used as a direct substitute for FLK lamps and other G9.5 base lamps.
