Portland, OR., - (November 10, 2004) – The SYLVANIA QUICKTRONIC® High Efficiency Series of energy-saving electronic T8 instant start ballasts are over 90% efficient. The QUICKTRONIC High Efficiency Series (QHE) ballasts use up to six percent (2 to 7-watts) less energy than standard electronic ballasts without compromising light output or lamp life. QHE ballasts will operate 17-watt (2‑foot), 25-watt (3-foot), and 4-foot 28-watt, 30-watt SUPERSAVER®, or 32-watt T8 fluorescent lamps.

QUICKTRONIC ISN and QUICKTRONIC ISL models operate the complete family of two, three, four and five-foot OCTRON^® T8 linear lamps, as well as OCTRON CURVALUME^® T8 U-bend lamps.  QUICKTRONIC High Efficiency Series (QHE) ballasts also feature <10%THD and Universal Voltage. SYLVANIA QHE ballasts operate OCTRON T8 lamps with maximum efficacy and high lumen output, and provide 30-50 percent energy savings when compared to T12 standard magnetic systems.

The QHE ballasts fit into any existing fixture, facilitating easy retrofits, which makes these ballasts a perfect energy saving choice for new or existing commercial, hospitality, institutional or industrial lighting.

The lightweight QHE ballasts virtually eliminate lamp flicker and are available in both normal and low ballast factor models. These ballasts feature parallel lamp functionality providing independent lamp operation with the same wiring and footprint as traditional electronic ballasts.
