MARTIN PROFESSIONAL’S NEW MAC 700
Modular platform applies OSRAM’s technological efficiency and heat tolerance
ORLANDO, FL (November 11, 2005) – OSRAM announced at LDI 2005 that Martin Professional's newest moving head – the MAC 700 – will be equipped with the OSRAM SharXS® HTI® 700W/D4/75 lamp. This represents Martin's third development using the SharXS HTI family modular platform.
Suited for advanced high performance luminaires in multiple entertainment segments such as Martin’s line of award-winning MAC moving heads, the OSRAM SharXS HTI 700W/D4/75 short-arc lamp combines higher efficiency and a signature eXtreme Seal (XS) for increased heat tolerance. It is available in 7500◦ K and 6000◦ K color temperatures. In addition, the SharXS HTI 700W/D4/75 version has the same color performance as OSRAM’s SharXS HTI 400W/D3/75 currently used in Martin's MAC 550.

SharXS HTI lamps have set a new short-arc lamp standard. Uniform dimensions, a short arc and extreme seal technology are the key features of the OSRAM modular SharXS HTI lamp family. All seven lamps comprising the SharXS HTI family are exceptionally bright, operate efficiently and can withstand greater thermal stress than conventional types. Available in 200, 400, 575, 700 and 1200 wattages, this innovative lamp family covers all the requirements needed for entertainment .
OSRAM’s SharXS double-ended lamps also have been designed as modular components for modular luminaire designing, thus helping fixture manufacturers reduce time-to-market. A special pre-alignment base, along with the lock-and-key principle between lamp and holder, ensures that the lamps are installed in their correct operating position consistently.
