OSRAM SHOWCASES NEW SOCKET FOR SHARXS HTI LAMPS AT LDI 2005
 
Advanced socket completes the system solution for entertainment, effect and architectural lighting applications
 
 
ORLANDO, FL – (November 11, 2005) – The OSRAM SFc10-4 pre-focus socket will debut at LDI 2005, marking the launch of the complete OSRAM SharXS® HTI® lamp and socket system. OSRAM’s easy to use SFc10-4 socket features advanced design and durable construction that sets a new standard in metal halide lighting performance.

Innovative design and durable construction are hallmarks of the new SFc10-4 socket.  Unlike other products on the market, OSRAM’s SFc10-4 socket has a solid nickel contact that eliminates the potential for corrosion. A unique contact and spring configuration optimizes the electrical and mechanical properties of the socket. This feature in conjunction with its unique contact geometry ensures an optimum lamp and socket connection, thus minimizing resistance and extra heat. The one-piece threaded ceramics also optimize the insulation properties of the socket. 
 
The OSRAM SFc10-4 socket is also versatile and easy to use. It can be wired from either end, allowing greater flexibility for fixture installation. A key-lock feature for pre-focus makes accurate lamp insertion easy.
