OSRAM UNVEILS NEW SOCKET FOR HPL LIGHTING SYSTEMS AT LDI 2006
Lampholder Pairs With All HPL Lamps for Optimum Performance

LAS VEGAS, NV (Oct. 20, 2006) – OSRAM announced today that it will unveil the new TP22H socket for all HPL systems at LDI 2006. Ideal for Electronic Theatre Controls, Inc. (ETC) Source Four® fixtures and as part of a system solution, this socket pairs with all OSRAM HPL lamps for optimum performance.

Versatile and easy to use, the TP22H socket fits all generations of ETC Source Four fixtures and is an ETC preferred product. The socket is designed with contoured pin lead-ins and floating contacts, which allows the lamp to be inserted smoothly and securely so users know it is in correctly.

"Our new TP22H for the HPL lamp is now a one-piece socket and was designed with the end user in mind," Jackie Gallagher, product marketing manager, OSRAM SYLVANIA, said. "We are very excited that ETC has chosen this product to be the factory installed socket for its line of Source Four fixtures."

The unique contact system features multiple points of contact with lamp pins for superior electrical connections. Additionally, the TP22H socket’s patented contact design features dual materials, including solid nickel with a high-temperature back-up spring, to optimize both the electrical and mechanical properties of the socket. These features all work together to provide a high-performance, long-life socket.
