QXL Quick eXchange Compliments HPL Lamp Series
LAS VEGAS, NV (Oct. 20, 2006) – The QXL Quick eXchange long-life lamp is the latest addition to the reliable high-performance halogen lamps from the HPL series produced by OSRAM. Due to its unique twist-and-lock cap, the lamp can be replaced quickly, safely and without tools or opening the luminaire.
Developed by Electronic Theatre Controls (ETC), the QXL lamp is specifically designed for the automated luminaires in the “Source Four Revolution®” series used on theatrical stages and in studio technology. The universal transformer integrated into this luminaire series enables worldwide use without alteration of the projector or a lamp exchange.
The new QXL lamp is available in standard or a long-life version which has an average life of 1,500 hours, a fivefold increase on the standard lamp. Its robustness and reliability are guaranteed by the integrated eXtreme Seal technology, which ensures that the socket can easily cope with pinch temperatures of up to 450 °C. As the other lamps in the HPL series, the QXL stands out due to its exceptionally high luminous efficacy, ensured by its ultracompact filament geometry.
