A NEW “LIGHTNESS” OF LIGHT
aluPAR Family of Halogen Lamps with Aluminum Reflectors
LAS VEGAS, NV (Oct. 20, 2006) – Stages will be shining brighter without putting any strain on the stage crew with the addition of the new OSRAM aluPAR® 56 lamp series. These lamps, which are used for stage and show lighting, are 66% lighter and up to 10% brighter than conventional halogen lamps.
Unlike traditional glass PAR lamps, aluPAR lamps have an aluminum reflector. By combining the reflector with its compact design, this lamp is lightweight, which reduces both storage and transportation costs. The aluminum reflector is also responsible for the increase in brightness as the halogen bulb with its compact filament is perfectly matched to the high-precision contour of the reflector.
aluPAR lamps are available with different luminous intensities, voltages and beam angles. They are available in NSP or Narrow Spot, MFL or Medium Flood, or WFL or Wide Flood. With many options, they offer freedom for designing lighting effects and impressive stage show lighting.
At the end of their life, they can be disassembled into individual components for environmentally-preferred waste disposal. OSRAM has developed a modular lamp concept in which the aluminum parabolic reflector and the front glass shield are mechanically connected to one another. aluPAR lamps are compatible with the market standard.
