Las Vegas, NV (Oct. 31, 2006) – SYLVANIA will showcase its newest lighting solution for safer night time driving, SilverStar® ULTRA™ headlights, at AAPEX 2006. SilverStar
ULTRA headlights provide up to 25 percent increased down road visibility, increased side road visibility and up to a 20 percent brighter light, compared to standard halogen headlights. They also last up to 30 percent longer than regular SilverStar headlights.

The pure, white light emitted by the SilverStar ULTRA is closer to the color of daylight which helps drivers see better at night. A study by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) found halogen headlights that produce a whiter light can help improve a driver’s reaction time and ability to see roadside objects at night. OSRAM SYLVANIA advises consumers to choose headlights that produce a whiter light and are 100 percent street legal, such as SYLVANIA SilverStar ULTRA headlights.

halogen headlights, compared to standard halogen. The advertisement was shot in northwestern Utah at the Bonneville Salt Flats; a 30,000 acre area that is well-known to
auto enthusiasts, speed trial teams and film makers who utilize the large, flat mass of land for setting land speed records, testing and filming movies and commercials. The
30-second TV spots began running on Monday, October 16 and will continue to run nationally into 2007.
