OSRAM SYLVANIA DELIVERS POWER IN AN ULTRA-THIN PACKAGE
Thinnest LED Power Supply on the Market Brings Convenience and Flexibility to Applications

Danvers, Mass. (March 1, 2008) – North American lighting leader, OSRAM SYLVANIA, is proud to introduce the newest member of the OPTOTRONIC® Electronic 24V DC LED Power Supply family, the 50W Low-Profile LED Power Supply.  This product is the lowest profile 50W LED power supply in the industry, while maintaining all the features of a standard sized OPTOTRONIC Electronic LED power supply.

Like all OSRAM OPTOTRONIC power supplies, the low-profile LED power supply is electronically stabilized and recognized in the U.S. and Canada.  It also features a long life, an average of 50,000 hours and is protected against open circuit, short circuit, overload and overheating conditions.

Unlike any other power supply, this low-profile power supply is almost as thin as many LED modules it powers.  “The goal of the design was to be as close to the height of an LED module for sleek fixture designs,” explains Charles Piccirillo, OSRAM SYLVANIA LED product marketing manager.  “This also helps hide the power supply and promotes use in smaller places.”  The supply weighs less than a half of a pound and is 9.5 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and stands only .65 inches in height.

These low-profile power supplies are ideally suited for low and medium power applications such as under cabinet, task and display case lighting.
