Danvers, MA – Nov. 7, 2004 – Developed with the packaging manufacturer and engineer in mind, SYLVANIA SureHeat® MAX and SureHeat® JET air heater technology incorporates an innovative serpentine heater element design, which uses a temperature sensing control system to regulate temperature and protect against element burnout. The technology also detects low or no airflow conditions that can lead to heater element failure.
      
SYLVANIA’s SureHeat MAX and SureHeat JET are precise, controlled hot air sources for industrial applications.  SureHeat air heaters seal, dry, bond, weld, melt, form, sterilize and solder faster, cleaner, in less space and with more control. The SureHeat line meets stringent sanitary and safety demands for multiple application uses, are excellent for sealing paper-to-paper applications including food and pharmaceutical packaging, and work effectively for the hot air bonding of plastics in automotive and consumer electronics packaging.

Unlike stand-alone heaters of the past, SureHeat MAX and SureHeat JET air heaters can be integrated into the production process and allow packaging manufacturers to control and monitor heater performance with programmable logic controller systems.  Both products have an air temperature controllable to 1400F (760C), plus or minus one degree; built in sensors for control and safety; rapid heat-up and cool-down; Underwriter Laboratories (UL) and Europe’s CE Mark requirement safety approvals; ceramic only design for food packing applications; and a maximum inlet temperature of 200F (93C).

The SureHeat JET has 3.0 - 8.0 kilowatts of power. The SureHeat MAX utilizes a low back pressure design for blower installations and 6.0 - 36.0 kilowatts of power.
