OSRAM SYLVANIA OFFERS REDUCED GLARE SOFT WHITE
HALOGEN PAR LAMPS
Loudon, N.H. (Sept. 16, 2007) – North American lighting leader, OSRAM SYLVANIA, has found the solution to maintain both the efficiency and color of a halogen lamp while also providing the soft, glare-free light distribution of an incandescent lamp. Introducing the Soft White Halogen PAR lamps, this new SYLVANIA offering provides a fully dimmable, lead- and mercury-free lamp for a wide range of applications.
Using glass lenses with a textured inner surface, SYLVANIA Soft White Halogen PAR lamps soften the characteristic sharp focus of even the widest halogen flood lamps to create the soft pools of light common to incandescent reflector lamps. These lenses are combined with halogen capsules to produce the long life and whiter light common to halogen PAR lamps.
Soft White Halogen PAR lamps are perfect for use in many general lighting applications, such as hospitality (hotels and restaurants), residential, healthcare lighting, and in lighting showrooms. With a 2500 hour life, the Soft White Halogen PAR lamp can be used anywhere incandescent R and BR lamps are used, including recessed cans and track lighting.
SYLVANIA Soft White Halogen PAR lamps are ideal energy-saving replacements for incandescent reflector lamps, with the 50W PAR30 Long Neck lamp replacing a standard 65-watt (W) BR30, while maintaining similar light levels.
The full Soft White Halogen PAR product line includes the 50W PAR20, the 50W and 75W PAR30LN, and the 50W and 75W PAR38.
