Frequently free-standing and double-sided, box signs, also known as cabinet signs, exist in a variety of shapes and sizes. The face of a box sign is made of a translucent plastic and often displays colored graphics and designs made from vinyl or paint. The face is supported only by the walls of the box sign and is illuminated from behind by a light source mounted at the rear wall of the cabinet.

2. Material used

• If a graphic panel employing ink or vinyl is used, light transmission is lower and may require a greater number of modules to reach the desired light output.
