Signage Types
Point-of-Purchase

In an environment where manufacturers are trying to differentiate themselves, a point of purchase sign is a great way highlight products, draw attention and drive sales. In almost any retail establishment these signs are abundant, and can be found in various sizes, shapes and styles. Point of purchase signs most often utilize some form of back lighting, but occasionally utilize other forms of illumination.

Things to consider when planning a point of purchase installation:

1. Color of graphics
• Determines what module should be used and at what color temperature.
• A sign with a lot of brown, orange, and yellow would require a warmer CCT module. Great examples of this are the HF²X, the 3500K HF²Chain, or a 4100K HF²Stick XB SX-Series.
• A sign with a lot of white and/or blue, or required a high contrast between warm colors (like red) and cool colors (like blue) would required a cooler CCT module. Great examples of this are the 6500K HF²Chain, the 5400K HF²X or a cooler linear module.

2. Desired brightness
• Determines how much product to put in a sign.
Typically, an indoor point of purchase sign will require more product as it needs to be brighter in order to compete with the interior lighting within the facility.
• An outdoor point of purchase sign may not need as much product as it should already standout quite well against the dark night.
