Short arc for greater luminous output SharXS® HTI® lamps far outperform their “tame” competitors in terms of luminous output: Their innovative short-arc technology enables extremely short electrode gaps. SharXS® HTI® lamps are basically able to produce more light than conventional metal halide lamps of the same rated wattage.
Total flexibility
Modular luminaire design and construction The innovative SharXS® HTI® metal halide lamps from OSRAM are available in various wattages typical to the market. All members of this product family are identical in terms of design, length and base. Due to the separate module design luminaire designers will find it much easier to respond to future market requirements. The control gear and cooling of the luminaire must be adjusted to the various wattages. Low consumption: SharXS® HTI® help lower operational costs: Based on the correct luminaire design, the same light output
can be produced using a lower rated wattage. This reduces the need for cooling and therefore saves energy.
More light
With the correct luminaire design SharXS® HTI® provide a significantly higher light output. This means more light is produced using the same amount of energy. A special base with notch makes it easier to install the lamps into appropriate holders. The key-/ lock principle between the lamp and the holder makes it impossible incorrectly and therefore avoids loss of light and unwanted optical influences from the pumping tip.

Keeping their “cool”
Higher thermal load capacity thanks to XS When it comes to thermal loading capabilities SharXS® HTI® lamps are also in the
lead: When conventional metal halide lamps begin to feel the heat, SharXS® HTI® lamps keep their “cool” even when things heat up: The innovative XS technology provides a protective coating covering the thermally sensitive area surrounding the weldings, thereby increasing the maximum pinch temperature from 350°C to 450°C. The need for forced cooling can thus be significantly reduced, resulting in quieter luminaire designs. The luminaires display a more compact design, have less weight and require less space.
