OSRAM SYLVANIA has developed a new line of auxiliary automotive connection products using an LCP upper body component, silicone flange seal and stainless steel bulb retention clips. This high-tech product line uses a unique combination of materials that provide a higher level of temperature operation with reduced levels of the detrimental effects of outgassing.

High-Temperature S8 Attributes

• Uses a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) upper body for improved resistance to thermal loads
• The flange seal has been upgraded to a special formulation of silicone designed to withstand higher thermal conditions
• All OSRAM SYLVANIA S8 Lamp Sockets utilize four stainless steel bulb retention beams to assure a consistent retention force
• Combine with the new High Temperature Base Series S8 Wedge Lamp to address applications where standard nylon and PPA components would not be feasible due to heat limitations or ultra-long life requirements such as DRL
• The High Temperature Bulb and Socket combination provide a sage, cost-effective alternative to metalized sockets, coated bulbs or amber colored cover lenses and caps
• Ideal solution for Front Turn and DRL applications
