For over 40 years, the Advanced Materials and Components Parts operation of OSRAM SYLVANIA located in Towanda, PA has been designing and manufacturing tungsten and molybdenum powders and parts for defense and aerospace applications.  Our facility is vertically integrated from processing the ore into powders to final part production.  We are an ISO 9000 certified facility. 

The various products produced for defense applications have included custom powders, penetrators, fragmenting warheads, canister rounds, sheet, plate, wire, powders for thermal management applications, and most recently lead free cores for the green ammunition market.
