Hiding above the ceiling line, a recessed light is a workhorse for general illumination.  Designed primarily for “throwing” light down to a horizontal surface, recessed lights (also called downlights cans or pot lights) can also light a vertical surface using special reflectors and apertures.  Recessed lights allow for a clean look for the ceiling and are availabel in a variety of sign and trim options to satisfy every lighting need.
