Maybe there is a nurse who helped you when your child got sick at 2:00 a.m., a firefighter who awoke in the middle of the night to help save a home on your street or the waiter working overnight who served you a late night meal.
SEVEN MILLION AMERICANS WORK THE NIGHT SHIFT AND SYLVANIA WANTS TO HONOR THEIR VERY SPECIAL ROLE IN OUR COMMUNITIES.
That is why we are launching a new promotion titled “SilverStar ® Night Shift Heroes by SYLVANIA”to recognize and honor night shift workers all across the country.
First and foremost, we do this by creating products such as the SilverStar ®Ultra headlights to keep you safe on the road with whiter, brighter bulbs that help you see better while driving at night. But for those unsung heroes of the night, we want to do even more.
Now through August 8, you can nominate a night shift worker who has touched your life. Capture their story in writing and send it along with an entry form to nightshifthero@sylvania.com.

A team of judges will select five finalists to be posted on www.sylvania.com and the public will vote online from August 18 to 25 for one winner. SYLVANIA will announce the winner on September 3, 2008.
The winner of the SilverStar ® Night Shift heroes Award by SYLVANIA will receive a $500 GAS CARD AND A “GIFT OF LIGHT” BASKET FILLED WITH SYLVANIA PRODUCTS.
