Tips for the Office & Study
  • Wash the walls with our halogen bulbs to give a bright, spacious appearance.

  • To avoid washing out your computer screen, locate a light between your computer and the wall. As a result the wall itself becomes the source of diffused, no-glare illumination.

  • Consider indirect lighting from compact fluorescent fixtures or from compact fluorescent torchieres to reduce shadows and enhance visual comfort.

  • Avoid lighting directly over your work area, which will cause glare or put you in your own shadow. Instead place desk-mounted task lights (with Capsylite bulbs) on either side. Other possible light sources include downlights and wall valances.

  • Ask your electrician about using electronic ballasts for all fluorescent lighting to eliminate flicker and noise.
