METALARC® SUPERSAVER® SWEEPSTAKES RULES
2008 Official Rules

THE FOLLOWING PROMOTION IS INTENDED FOR VIEWING AND PARTICIPATION ONLY IN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA (EXCLUSIONS APPLY) AND SHALL ONLY BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO UNITED STATES LAW. DO NOT PROCEED IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES IF YOU ARE NOT A RESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OR CANADA (EXCLUSIONS APPLY).

1) HOW TO WIN: Find a gold ticket within the packaging of a METALARC® SUPERSAVER® or METALARC® PULSE START Lamp. Contest begins March 1, 2008 [?] and ends December 31, 2008.

WAYS TO CLAIM PRIZE: Customers can claim their prize by visiting the Sponsor’s website at www.sylvania.com/METSS any time from 12:00 A.M. CT on 03/01/08 [?] through 11:59 P.M. CT on 12/31/08 and properly complete and submit the online winner’s form.

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, non-deliverable, misdirected entries or any mechanical or electrical problems.

2. PRIZES: 12 prizes to be awarded; limit one (1) prize per person: Nintendo® Wii™ (ARV. $300.00), Garmin™GPS (ARV. $300.00), 20 inch flat screen TV (ARV. $300) or $100 Gift card.

The prize will be determined once winner’s form has been completed and winning number has been validated. Each month the winning number will be matched to the prize of the month. Prizes are non-transferable. Prizes are awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee either expressed or implied. No substitutions or cash alternatives will be allowed except at the discretion of the Sponsor. If a featured prize becomes unavailable, a prize of comparable value will be awarded.

All federal, state and local taxes and fees are based on the ARV and are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners of prizes valued over $600.00 will be issued an IRS Tax Form 1099 stating the value of the prize for 2008 tax filing.

3. ODDS: Odds of winning are dependent on the number of METALARC® SUPERSAVER® and METALARC® PULSE START lamps sold.

4. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands), and Canada (excluding Quebec), who are 21 years of age or older. Employees of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) and members of the same households (whether related or not) are not eligible. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Sweepstakes should causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection due to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, human error or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the promotion’s process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the sweepstakes without notice. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or on any website, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to any entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

5. AWARDING OF PRIZES: Winners will be notified by regular mail, phone or e-mail within ten (10) days of the receipt of the winner’s form. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the person who was, at the time of entry, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, the registered holder of the email account used to enter the Sweepstakes, will be deemed the eligible entrant.

Within ten (10) days of notification, winners must execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and a Publicity Release and return to Sponsor. A winner's failure to claim the prize by completing and returning these forms in a proper manner within ten (10) days of notification will result in forfeiture of the prize. Notified winners will be verified as Official Winners, and prizes will be awarded.

By filling out the winner’s form, entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be binding and final in all respects.

Non-compliance with 2008 Official Rules will result in disqualification.  Winners also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, advertising, promotion, fulfillment, marketing agencies, public relation firms, consultants or contractors from any liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons (including death) and/or property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, use or misuse of the any prize awarded hereunder, or while preparing for, participating in and/or traveling to any prize-related activity.

IN NO EVENT SHALL SPONSOR, ITS SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, ADVERTISING, PROMOTION, FULFILLMENT, MARKETING AGENCIES, PUBLIC RELATION FIRMS, CONSULTANTS OR CONTRACTORS BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF ANY PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES OR ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE AWARDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, AS WELL AS ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS OR INVASION OF PRIVACY.

Sponsor makes no warranty with regards to, and is not responsible for, any prize awarded. Any prizes issues must be addressed with the manufacturers. Except where prohibited by law, winner's entrance and acceptance of prize constitutes permission to Sponsor to use winner's name, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, voice likeness, and city and state address on a worldwide basis, and in all forms of media, in perpetuity without notice, further payment, consideration, credit, or right of approval or review (except void where prohibited by law).
