These Frequently Asked Questions are intended to serve as an immediate resource for the OSRAM SYLVANIA Store Locator.

Question 1:   What is the purpose of the OSRAM SYLVANIA Store Locator?

The intent of the Store Locator is to direct web browsers within OSRAM SYLVANIA’s Internet site to OSRAM SYLVANIA Resellers in a specified town or city.

Question 2:  How is the Store Locator used?

The fastest way to locate stores that carry OSRAM and SYLVANIA brand products is to simply enter a zip/postal code and click the "FindIt!" button. This will return all the stores in a default radius of 10 miles around that zip/postal code, carrying all OSRAM SYLVANA products that serve all markets. When you don't know the specific zip/postal code, you can enter a city and state or province for similar results. (Note: For the most accurate search results, please do not abbreviate.)

You can refine your search by entering a zip/postal code, then selecting a miles/kilometers radius and/or a market served.

On the page containing store locations, there are map icons which can be clicked to view a detailed map of the immediate vicinity of the store. Just below the map you can refine your map view by "panning out" (increasing the mapping area), and/or changing the map size.

The Store Locator may return store locations that are farther away than the radius you specify. This is because the system is designed to continue to search in an outwardly expanding radius until it locates at least one location, or "hit."

Question 3:  What are the markets served?

The markets served represent the categories of stores, or resellers, that sell SYLVANIA and/or OSRAM branded product. The categories and types of resellers are defined as:

Business Lighting: Markets served include commercial, contractor, healthcare, hospitality, industrial (general), institutional, lighting showroom, maintenance and repair for business, property management, and retail counter.
Home/Personal Lighting: Types of retailers include do-it- yourself/home centers, drug stores, grocery/supermarkets, hardware stores, mass merchandisers, and warehouse clubs.
Photo-Optic/Specialty Lighting: Markets served include audio visual/projection, cinema film projection, industrial (special), medical, scientific, and stage/studio/entertainment/effect lighting.
Automotive Lighting: Includes retail suppliers of forward, auxiliary and speciality lamps for vehicles. Types of resellers include automotive specialty stores and mass merchandisers.

Question 4:  Why am I getting "hits" of stores located hundreds of miles/kilometers away, when I specified a much smaller miles/kilometers radius?

The Store Locator may return store locations that are farther away than the radius you specify. This is because the system is designed to continue to search in an outwardly expanding radius until it locates at least one location, or "hit."

Question 5:  How does the Store Locator system determine the results page that I see?

The Store Locator system will search on zip/postal code or city/state or city/province, the specified miles/kilometers radius, and/or the specified market served. If it finds no locations applying these criteria to the radius you have indicated, it will continue to expand the search in an outward radius until it finds store locations serving the specified market. It will list the stores found from closest to farthest from the specified radius.

Question 6:  I received 25 results, but only see 5. How do I get to see the rest of my results?

At the bottom of the results page there are hyperlinked page numbers. Each page has a maximum of 5 results listed. Paginate by clicking these hyperlinks.

Question 7:  How do I have my store included in the OSRAM SYLVANIA Store Locator?

There are established guidelines that your store must meet in order be listed in OSRAM SYLVANIA's Store Locator. Please contact your Sales Representative for information regarding listings within the Store Locator.

Question 8:  I am having problems using the Store Locator. How can I get assistance?

Providing information about the actions you took while operating within the Store Locator and any other appropriate details will help to expedite a resolution to your problem.

Question 9:  I keep getting the error message, "Warning: Page has Expired."

This is a browser issue, not an application error. Click your browser's Refresh button at the top of your screen and then click the "yes" button when asked to repost the data to the form. Or, click this Store Locator link to return to the Store Locator home page.
