The Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX) is an annual program commissioned by Design Journal that recognizes superior products in the architecture and design industry at the Platinum, Gold and Silver levels. The following SYLVANIA LED lighting innovations were honored with ADEX Platinum and Design Journal Best of 2016 awards:
The Architectural SSL Product Innovation Awards recognizes innovative LED and solid state luminaires and fixtures on the market. A distinguished panel comprised of 14 designers and lighting specialists awarded manufacturers based on attributes, qualities, functionality and/or performance based on industry standards. Based on these criteria, the following SYLVANIA LED products were recognized in the components and light sources category
The SYLVANIA LED Integrated Bulb and Trim was one of the elite products selected as a 2017 Money-Saving Product by BUILDINGS Magazine.
Finalists were evaluated by the BUILDINGS editorial staff for the money-saving qualities they offer to building owners and facility managers in areas such as energy efficiency and maintenance.
Sponsored by the American Lighting Association, the Consortium for Energy Efficiency and UL, Lighting for Tomorrow is a competition that challenges manufacturers to develop residential lighting products that successfully incorporate advances in both design and energy efficiency.
The SYLVANIA ULTRA LED 3-Way A21 Lamp received a Special Recognition Award which is given to products that have notable attributes or fulfill a market or lighting application need.
The SYLVANIA LED lamp was recognized for having higher wattage equivalent outputs than previous LED 3-way products.
Finally, two LEDVANCE employees were honored by the tED Magazine’s “30 under 35” program.
Maren Bochinger, head of Luminaire Sales, US & Canada, and Aaron Ganick, head of Smart Business Americas, were recognized as talented young professionals who have the initiative, drive, integrity and creativity to help move the electrical industry forward.
LEDVANCE also received a “Best of the Best” marketing award from tED Magazine in the “Brand Awareness” category for its work in launching LEDVANCE as a new company while also reinforcing the SYLVANIA product brand with electrical distributors and contractors.
